Just make sure to stick to the games that are multi-player and go quickly, everyone should get a chance to play. Lawn games are also fantastic if your cocktail hour is set outside, think croquet, bocce ball, horseshoes and cornhole. Games aren’t your thing? No worries! You can still add interest by setting up stations like a Polaroid guest book station or a signature cigar and scotch bar- Fun and fancy!
2. Offer Local Wine or Artisanal Beer Tastings
Depending on your venue, tastings or pairings may be available. This is a lovely option for guests that are attending a winery or brewery wedding; it also encourages your guests to sample local fare, which is always a good thing.

Nothing sets the mood like live music! Whether you prefer a classical guitarist, a string quartet or an 80’s cover band, quality live music will keep your guests moving. Keep in mind that there are plenty of live musicians that are willing to only perform during your cocktail hour, that way you don’t feel pressured to hire them for your entire night- unless of course you want to!
4. Include a Photo Booth or a Slow-Mo Video Booth
Allow your guests to get silly and strike a pose! Not only will these booths keep your friends and family entertained, it will create memories for you and them alike! Can you imagine?! Again, certain companies will offer photo or slow-motion video booths for hourly hire, which can help keep you within your budget.
