Five Ways to Make Your Groom Feel Special

With so much bridal inspiration, it is so easy to get swept up by the beauty of the bride that we tend to forget to appreciate the dapperly handsome groom. At L&L Events we want to remedy that; did you know that the word bridegroom originated from the Old English word brȳdguma, which can be loosely translated to “bride’s hero.” LOVE IT! Let’s show these heroes some appreciation! Here are our top five ways to make your groom feel special.

Pre-Ceremony

1. Leisure Activities

While the ladies are getting all dolled up, treat the groom to a calm morning of activities like a round of golf, soothing fishing or a delicious gentlemen’s brunch; because who doesn’t love brunch?!

2. A Manly Pampering Session

A pre-wedding visit to a men’s grooming lounge where your groom and his groomsmen can enjoy a relaxing hot-lather shave, face massage and even hair styling. This will have your groom feeling as wonderful as he looks.

3. A Gentleman’s Tasting

Set up a tasting bar of whatever your gent fancies, may it be Scotch whisky, Kentucky bourbon or local craft beer for him, his lads AND lasses to savor and enjoy.

4. A Cigar Bar.

Although this is not a new concept, it still stands strong. A bar cart adorned with hand crafted cigars for your beau and guests to enjoy. Take it up a notch by having the cigars professionally hand-rolled on site.

5. A Private Lounge Area.

Try and imagine it, a lounge area specifically designed for your groom to relax with his groomsmen. A beautifully designed seating nook where he can sit back on leather couches under the stars, enjoying his fine bourbon, earthy cigars and good company.
